Tossing in a throw-back!!

Do you ever just wake up in the morning feeling majestic AF?! That's everyday for Breeze and Havoc. Stormy skies are no match!!

It doesn't hurt to have a backdrop like Glencoe in Scotland, either, right? I've been lucky enough to shoot here a few times and no matter the weather it never disappoints.

Be like Breeze and Havoc. Be EPIC.

What in the WHAT!! 🤍💙🧡

🧀Taking a moment to be proud of this image right here! 🙌🏻

This is the first of 12 submissions for Embark! AND I GOT A TOP 10!!! 💯💥

Embark is an international challenge for pet photographers. There are 12 themes over 6 months. Each image is then critiqued according to a super pro standard and according to the brief. Each challenge has a top 20 and then a top 10. At the end of the 6 months a winner is picked for each individual challenge and then there's the top 3 winners overall!

So Top 10 right out of the gate, has got me CHEESING big time over here!! 😝🥰

#1: Colourific - after some nice but not ideal shots with Nola and some graffiti I had to take another stab at this challenge. So I brought my best boy into the studio and had some fun with colored gels. I was trying to coax him into opening his mouth for a drool-worthy/WOW cheese expression. But he wasn't having it nor was my lovely assistant (the husband). Looking back through the images I saw Mucca making this "ew no" face that I've only ever seen him do with bananas. So pairing this with a huge chunk of grana made me LOL so much at the irony that it just worked.

#52frames_reflection 🍁

I'd planned to meet Marion and her sweet girl, 11 year old Maple, at a dog park seated right on the castle grounds in Milan. When I first saw them from across the park, and Maple immediately started running towards me, it was love at first sight!! IT DOES EXIST!! 🤍

📸 Of course Maple was the perfect model. She's so sweet and wasn't shy around me at all. And once she realized I was holding some DELISH dried liver treats, it was all eyes on me and my lens! 🤩

🏰 Originally I'd wanted to shoot in one of Castle Sforzesco's courtyards for Week 20's challenge: Reflection. However, there was a little confusion on whether or not dogs were actually permitted there. 🐕🧐

Marion was so open to just wondering around the park Sempione a bit and had a BUNCH of great ideas on how we could use reflections we came upon around us. Or even creating our own with dumping water on the ground! 😅

Ultimately we got to the Arco della Pace - one of Milan's iconic landmarks, and found a building right next to it. The floor-to-ceiling windows reflected the arch PERFECTLY! 🪞

But the true magic happened when I pulled out my duck-calling whistle thingie (actually the guts of one of my own pup's toy graveyard). And Maple's WEST BY NORTHEAST EARS sprang up into action! 🦆

Coupled with that smile, what's not to LOVE about this portrait of Maple?!? 🍁🥰
